Join our workshop Making code accessible on Wednesday February 2, 2022 1:00pm to 1:50pm via Zoom (link below)
By: Levi Burner, Suhas Gotla, Khiem Lam, and Zachary Smith
How long would it take someone to run/implement your code? In this COMBINE peer-to-peer tutorial, we discuss easy-to-use options to make your code more accessible to coders and non-coders alike. Increasing the accessibility of your code not only combats reproducibility issues amongst the research community but can also increase the impact and citation of your work. We focus on Python, but the concepts presented can be applied to other programming languages. We highlight Google CoLab as a framework for providing online-based interactive scripts whose parameters can be easily modified via forms without needing to edit the code directly.
